Civilla Morgan - Author

About the Author: Civilla Morgan states "I have been in love with words and books from the time I learned to read. As a very young child I would read under the blanket with a flashlight long after lights out were called. Then came the poetry writing in my early teens. As I grew I moved from poetry to writing short stories and my thoughts on pop culture of the time. One of my most memorable writings is called "What Do You Want?", in which I ask what we as human beings want out of life and what changes we are willing to make to get what we want. Of course, sprinkled amongst all of my writings were my journals." She  enjoys reading, writing, cooking, baking, and traveling --having been to many Caribbean Islands, Central America, and Europe.

Civilla,  has a financial services background and enjoy discussing market strategies. "I also enjoy and am very excited about my ever growing relationship with Jesus Christ. To God be the glory!"

"DOWN AGAIN" About the Book: Down Again is about the fact that you do not become perfect when you become a Christian.

David Carruthers:

Author, Singer, Poet, Speaker, Man Of God

David Carruthers is a young man with a passion for God and music. Born in Nottingham, England, David migrated to Boston in 1981 when he was twelve. At the young age of thirteen he started writing and performing his songs in churches in the Greater Boston area. Being well received as a solo artist, David opened for acts such as Hezekiah Walker, Derek Brinkley and Fred Hammond.

Conceived out of rape and no stranger to pain, David Carruthers was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder at eighteen, and experienced several mental breakdowns. While suffering silently as a young man, God led David to write Kill Your Giants which speaks candidly about “common giants” that seek to impede us from our spiritual, emotional and financial empowerment.

Is a featured vocalist on the album “Worship in the Style of ‘G’” by George W. Russell where his lead vocal can be heard on the cut “Let's Worship Him.” David has written over 100 songs among them “Tell of His Goodness” a number one hit in Bermuda for Regina Wingate and co-wrote the moving ballad “O Come” sung by Karen Ricketts.

David is a prolific poetic writer whose poem "Tears" was recognized by The International Society of Poetry and his poetry is in framed form in multiple homes across Boston and other areas.

Kill Your Giants

In his debut book "Kill Your Giants, David speaks candidly about issues that impede us from our spiritual, emotional and financial empowerment. In this book David analyzes the dangers of lust, anger, rejection, pride and the stubborn voices of fear. These are what he calls the "common giants” and he gives practical and biblical ways of how we can remove and destroy these giants before they destroy our purpose.

David believes that there is a destiny waiting for us that will exceed our expectations but, in order for us to possess it, we must remove all that hinders us from our promise. He also states that our dreams are easily accessible and possible if we lay aside the weights that beset us. This thought-provoking book will challenge noxious thinking and strengthen one's character.

Poet and Speaker has overcome great challenges to be who and what he is today.
